Saving The Hutton Family Christmas

The family had previously been flooded out and had been supplied with a caravan to live in for over a year, something they were not prepared to do again. The Hutton family were looking for a quality alternative where they could really enjoy a proper family Christmas. 

 

Most companies would have dismissed this as an impossible task or made it prohibitively expensive but here at Kingston we’re a bit different. First of all, we love a challenge and enjoy pushing ourselves but what’s really important to us is helping people. As with all our projects, we always deliver on time, in full and error free and this project, despite the condensed time, was no different. 

Mrs Hutton found us by searching Google for ‘Luxury Lodges’ and after a few minutes browsing our websites she knew our flagship contemporary model, The Palazzo, was the one for her. With an ultra-modern fit and finish, the contemporary design of The Palazzo was perfect for the Hutton family. However, we didn’t have any finished models in stock – we were completely sold out! This meant we would have to build and install a brand-new Palazzo in less than 3 weeks. Although challenging, we had complete faith our in our expert team that the project would be a success and we could rescue the Hutton ‘s Christmas. 

 

The very next day, we travelled down to the site near Doncaster to check the access suitability of the site and most importantly, to meet the Hutton family and introduce ourselves in person. Kiefer and his family were warm and friendly and soon the conversation turned towards how we could get this project over the line and ready for Christmas. 

 

After some toing and froing with the insurance underwriters, we got the go ahead and could start work on this exciting venture. As with all our projects, the first step was to invite the Hutton family to Kingston Park and Leisure Homes HQ to our lodge design hub. Rather than using our industry leading Customisation Framework, the Huttons loved the modern and elegant styling of the Palazzo and chose the exact fit and finishes from our show model with a couple of small changes, significantly the addition of an extra oven to cook their family Christmas dinner . 

Once all the options from our customisation framework had been finalised, our expert design team put in the extra hours to get the drawings ready for the accelerated production schedule. On the 2nd December, it was time to start production. Throughout the process we kept the Hutton family updated with short (but sweet) videos via WhatsApp that tracked the progress of the build. 

 

 

Thanks to our expert craftsmen, the build remained on track and we were ready to deliver the finished unit to the client on Monday 16th December – meeting our guaranteed delivery date. Although the installation was a bit tight in places it was nothing our expert team couldn’t handle. Once in place it was time to bring both halves of the lodge together and install of the utilities, drainage and ground works. 

 

By the 20th December it was time to handover the keys for the Hutton family so they could start decorating in time for Christmas. We are very happy to say that they had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed their Kingston Palazzo in style.
